My last session with mister Miles turned out so great that I entered one of his portraits into a photo contest with I Heart Faces!  I'm pretty excited!  Here it is...



Memorial Day

Today is Memorial Day.  A day often looked over with little reverence.  Please take a moment today to thank a soldier and their family for their sacrifice.  Our freedom hasn't come free.


This photo was taken at the Healing Field at The Avenue in Murfreesboro, TN on Memorial Day.  Was very emotional to see all of the flags placed in memory of fallen soldiers.

I met Miles and his mom at the local park for his 2 Year portraits.  This sweet little boy is full of adventure and spunk.  I loved every minute of his session!  How adorable is he!

You made me one proud mama tonight kiddo.  After months of screaming bloody murder and face planting during tummy-time you all of a sudden decided to show off your new skill tonight.  Oh how you cheer me up when I'm having a rough day!  I want to just freeze this moment in time.  It's your first real milestone and I almost cried.  Can we freeze time for just a little while???  This photo is going in your book babe!  Mommy loves you oh so much!  I am so very proud of you!

One of the things I love most about living in Middle Tennessee... the cows.  I love how they stare at you like "what do you think you're doing?"  Haha!  Wouldn't want to make them mad.

I knew this day would come... I missed a photo.  If I only miss one in 30 days, I think I'm doing well.  The weekend was full of photo shoots, car repairs and my baby girl's 4 month birthday.  So I'll excuse myself this one time!  Haha!
